We are suckers for a room with a killer view.  We find that we are even more likely to forgive some minor hotel inconveniences if we can stare out the window at something pretty--yeah we are that shallow. Let's help out our fellow hotel mavens by uploading rooms with killer views to the HotelChatter/Flickr photo pool, or by sending the photo along to us. We will feature our favorites in this space from time to time. Remember to tell us the name of the hotel and the room number of the hot view.

Head north to Oulu in Finland and you can get these kinds of pretty views from the Radisson SAS Hotel in late winter. Similarly to Helsinki, there's a mix of sweet old buildings, and we like the touch of color that keeps them still visible even through the typical winter snow and haze.

If you're suffering through the heat of the southern hemisphere summer right now, or caught up with ugly snow storms elsewhere, enjoy this view as a reminder of how pretty winter can be.

The Oulu Radisson itself is a little rundown, but still very comfortable. But like most things in Finland, it's a little more expensive than you'd expect, with average room rates towards the $200 mark, without getting anything special.

The location is convenient though, and not having to drive to the city center is a good thing when the weather gets like this.
