This Week in HotelChatter Commenting....Rabbit Ear TV Reception at the East Houston Hotel

February 15, 2008 at 3:45 PM | by juliana | 0 Comments

· Hotel Maven JTI reports on a bad stay at the East Houston Hotel in New York. A Best Buy gift card was allegedly stolen out of the rooms and despite decent rooms, the TV reception was terrible.

The picture on the flat screen TVs in both rooms looked like they were picking up broadcast TV with rabbit ears somewhere out in the country.

Heh, that made us laugh.

· Speaking of hotel theft, HighOccupancy sticks up for hotel employees who all too often get accused of stealing things that may have just been left behind in a mojito haze.

· We love that The Notorious Meg went to Wikipedia to research presidential suites and found this out:

"In the United States, every Presidential Suite since must adhere by tradition to Woodrow Wilson's specifications. It must be south-facing in the Northern Hemisphere and north-facing in the Southern Hemisphere, containing an "en-suite" bathroom and walk-in closet (in Wilson's era en-suite bathrooms were uncommon).

· A bunch of readers chimed in on one LinkedIn hotelier's request for website design tips. Guess what hotel website designers? NO ONE LIKES YOUR CRAPPY WEBSITE MUSIC.
