We love The Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach so we were pretty disheartened to hear from a recent guest who claims their iPod was stolen from their room.
Hotel Maven Texan44 recounts what happened:
Lock all belongings up when you leave the room...
My boyfriend and I had an overall pleasant experience at the hotel besides the event of his new 80G iPod being stolen from the room when we went out for dinner. The hotel staff did nothing other than suggest that we file a police report (what will a police report do for a stolen iPod?).
The manager didn't offer to credit a night for the hotel or offer anything to makeup for the incident (two hotel workers had entered our room when we were gone - 1. person who restocked mini bar and 2. person who turned down our bed).
If you stay here, lock all possessions in your safe and remember to take your iPod off the iPod dock on the nightstand.
This is really upsetting but we guess you have to treat your iPod like a laptop or a valuable piece of jewelry and put it in the safe. But then again, have you seen this video? Hint: It involves a paper-clip. And if you like to lock your belongings in a Ramada safe, then definitely don't look at that video.
