To celebrate the tradition of women being "allowed" to propose on February 29th (as it is not recognized by the British legal calendar), London's May Fair Hotel is offering a "Leap Year Proposal Package" encouraging young ladies to take the romantic reins this year.
This is very similar to the proposal package that Kimpton Hotels is offering stateside, only a tad bit pricier and well, that one doesn't come with the services of a Proposal Butler. Yes, we said Proposal Butler.
From now until March 16th, women can take advantage of the package with rates starting from USD$1074 per couple for a deluxe studio suite, which includes 17% tax, one night's accommodation, breakfast for two, a bottle of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries and the services of a Proposal Butler.
The proposal butler will help each blushing bride (to-be) plan their attack, offering a Proposal Menu or the option of tailor-made proposals (purchases made from the menu or additional tickets etc booked with the butler will incur an additional cost, of course).
Menu options include the "Proposal on the Big Screen", utilizing the Mayfair's private theater to screen footage of your special moments and culminating with the big question; and the "A-MAZEing proposal" which involves you and your loved one getting lost and (hopefully) finding each other at the center of the Hampton Court Labyrinth, where champagne and a proposal await. Ah, must be love.
