Meanwhile, a few miles away at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, the Westin Riverfront which an HC operative checked out as soon as it opened back in September seems to be chugging along nicely as ski season kicks in.
The New York Times dropped in for a quickie visit and, in perhaps one of the most bland, non-enthusiastic "Check In, Check Out" reviews we've read, the overall impression the reviewer seemed to get was that the hotel was good, with "plenty of four-season perks." Yup. Pretty exciting, wouldn't you say?
Seems like the Times had nothing to highlight beyond the fact that the Westin is "another luxury hotel in the Vail Valley, but this time with an environmentally friendly twist." But the rates here start at $249 during the ski season, which isn't too bad.
