Andaz's New Website Is For The Teenagers

OMG. Get ready for the US launch of Andaz. Hyatt has just relaunched the website for their Andaz Hotels, including a page for the Andaz West Hollywood which is due to open on January 9th, 2009.

And both sites are not quite what we expected from the Andaz brand. The West Hollywood site is hot pink, a la Aloft Hotels. There are devoted pink lovers at HotelChatter but this sort of reminds us of Paris Hilton and her teenybopper "BFFs."

Then again, since each Andaz is supposed to feel as one with the property's location, hot pink is sort of representative of West Hollywood. Except we're not loving the text that looks like it was designed on an elementary school chalk board.

The re-designed Andaz.com is not much better. The description of the brand from their website is:

This unique collection reflects the personality of each locale, and is dedicated to creating natural and vibrant living spaces where travelers can indulge in their own personal sense of comfort and style

We're still trying to figure out how many teenagers have the dough (and parental permission to check into a hotel) to spend around $300 a night for a room. At least with a look that came from an aspiring art student's doodle book, they can't be expecting a serious business traveler to stay here.
