Setai San Diego Opens With $279 Rates and Free Stuff

The Setai San Diego — which is not, not, not related whatsoever to the Setai in Miami (and don't you forget it) — is set to open up on December 15th.

The hotel is down in San Diego's financial district and is touting its killer views ("180-degree views of city, ocean and bay"), its "sleep concierges" and its penthouse (the largest one on the West Coast) as the highlights. We finally got hold of this photo (of a standard room) and we think it looks pretty fierce too — though we worry about the potential of that white headboard to tell secrets. Just us?

And it's got a screening room and a recording studio for showbiz people...but, again, even though there's a recording studio and the property is swanky and trendy and Lenny Kravitz would probably dig it, it isn't the Setai Miami's sister property.

You can actually afford to check this one out for yourself, too: the hotel is offering a killer Preview Package to celebrate the opening. For just $279, you can score a one night stay, a $100 daily spa credit, breakfast for two, a welcome amenity and free valet parking. You can apply it towards stays through February 28 (excluding February 13 – 16; you and your honey are going to have to pay a little more for Valentine's Day fun).
