The Five Best Hotels for Las Vegas Virgins

December 4, 2008 at 4:15 PM | by Jenna | 8 Comments

Pop your Vegas cherry and be merry! Take our word for it: this holiday season would be the ideal time to hit up Las Vegas if you have, somehow, never set foot in Sin City before. Room rates are plummeting, crowds are thinning, and if the lure of booze, glitz and gambling doesn't entice you, we'll remind you that you probably only have a small amount of time to experience the alleged glorious trainwreck that is Criss Angel's "Believe" before it gets the inevitable axe.

To make your first Vegas experience as pleasant and manageable as possible, we've picked out the Top 5 Hotels for Vegas Virgins.

1. Wynn

With its great big rooms, kickass amenities, super-helpful staff and killer spa, you'll be comfortable and at ease during your stay. Plus, it's home to Tryst — one of HotelChatter's fave nightclubs ever.

2. Caesar's Palace

Yeah, alright: the theme is a bit cheesy and over-the-top, but the hotel is home to the Forum Shops — where you can spend your money and actually get something in return. Unlike the card tables.

3. TheHotel

Sexy and sleek, and the not-too-Vegas-y feel won't overwhelm the timid. It's classy. Like you.

4. Palazzo Las Vegas

You know what? Just go pamper yourself. You can munch on fancy food at Sushi Samba alongside celebs before retiring to one the biggest rooms on the strip.

5. The Luxor

Yeah, we said it. The Luxor — home to so-bad-it-might-be-good attractions like Criss Angel's "Believe" and the new Tacos and Tequila, this pyramid of debauchery is a one-stop-shop that pretty much guarantees you'll return home from Vegas with at least a dozen hilarious stories.

Have the perfect hotel in mind for the Vegas Virgin? Let us know in the comments!

Before I ever lived in the real city

My first time in Vegas was at New York, New York. I sure love the teeny cobblestone streets though.

first vegas trip ever was MGM grand

...I was 10. But now, in my twenties, I prefer theHotel or The Wynn. Can't wait to try out the Encore. My cousin actually died in one of the rooms in the Luxor... as if you needed another reason to stay away from the Luxor.

    Ahh Vegas

The hotels in Vegas are getting better and better. The Wynn is indeed the best and I have blogged about it several times on my own blog. Plus, as a repeat customer, they keep sending me amazing promotions!

    PH = Phabulous

I would give my cherry to Planet Hollywood. Not only is it center strip with an awesome location.  It's newly renovated, connected to a mall, has a great club and hot casino floor!  I'll be going during spring break.... great rates too!!
