Quirky Fashion Designer Erin Fetherston To Create Hotels?

December 29, 2008 at 2:16 PM | by juliana | 1 Comment

While Jay-Z's hotelier plans have been put on hold, quirky fashion designer Erin Fetherston will be doing a co-branded hotel in the future.

A tipster let us know that Fetherston's hotel plans aren't quite firmed up but that she is seriously looking to do a Philippe Starck-SLS Hotels kind of collaboration. There's a chance too that the hotels will debut in Asia rather than stateside. And of course, this is all still a few years off.

Fetherston is a San Fran-born, Paris-living fashion designer known for her whimsical feminine or "sweetly girlish" looks. She's also a prolific collaborator. She's already done a capsule collection for Target and Blackbook said she was working on a deal with a chocolate-biscuit company. She even collaborated with Kirsten Dunst (a huge follower of her fashions) on a short movie.

This is actually a collaboration we would go crazy for. We picture something akin to the Marcel Wanders-inspired, white fluffy dreamland that is Mondrian South Beach, given Fetherston's fashion designs. And it has to be better than the hotel Pamela Anderson is doing in Dubai, right?

She collaborated with the Lu biscuit company...the Petit Ecolier cookies. I don't know how, but she did.
