Paris is blessed with many things to make the holiday season truly unforgettable: architecture that looks even better under a few inches of snow, amazing seasonal food, sales at some of the best stores in the world, and enough cultural distractions to break up any family time. Combining all of these benefits because of its bulls-eye location is the Hotel du Louvre. Sitting dead next to the Louvre, down the street from the Galeries Lafayette and the boutiques of the Rue St Honoré, and only a short taxi away from the Champs-Élysées, the hotel will serve as a nexus for tourists during the holiday season.

Knowing this, the Hotel is promoting their Brasserie du Louvre restaurant with prix-fixe meals on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. Showcasing authentic French fare in the Brasserie's art deco environs, decorated by fashion designer Sonia Rykiel, head chef Medhi Corthier will serve up Christmas dining experiences beginning at $89 per person and $40 for children under 10. The New Year’s Eve dinner starts at $198 per person and includes a welcome glass of champagne.

Since we're already committed to our mother's sweet potato casserole and pork chops, the Hotel du Louvre must remain a distant second choice. For those headed to Paris, however, get your reservations in now; nights at the hotel begin at $255 per night for a double room, which are sure to sell out. Then call the Brasserie du Louvre directly to secure your table for a holiday meal: +33 (0) 1 42 96 27 98.
