Soho House Drops Exclusivity for the Holiday Season

You don't have to fill out the five-page application form and get approved by two members to score your holiday or New Year's party at uber-exclusive Soho House Hotel this year. And you don't have to look like a greedy asshole for still having your holiday party either.
The Soho House wants non-members to know they can look chic and swank without breaking the bank during the Festivus season. Especially since it's totally gauche these days to have a big extravaganza when half your office has already been fired.
The hotel's library (pictured), white room and screening room are all open for party rental to anyone (not just members) through New Year's Eve. The library and particular is an ideal spot for dinner and after party, although this is one library where there isn't a book in sight. (Just book wallpaper.)
So non-members should get a steppin' and consider a chic luncheon or cocktail hour within the Meatpacking hotel space. And the price might even be just right. "We are very fairly priced and actually lower than most places in the Meatpacking District," admitted a SoHo House insider.
Personally, we want a booking for their Pretty Party package come January 1, 2009 in their Cowshed. A six hour private mani-pedi-massage-champagne-canape party (at $295 per head) sounds like the ultimate way to bring in 2009.
