Cooper Square Is Open But Restaurant and Bar Are Not

What has been the modus operandi for Thompson Hotels has seem to become a boutique hotel industry norm. The Cooper Square Hotel has joined the ranks of hotels who open their restaurants a few months after they open the rooms.
Eater has the full report on Table 8 by Govind Armstrong.
A recent tour of the Table 8 space revealed it looks almost as it did during our tour in October. In other words, it's a big raw mess. That said, the kitchen is getting closer to completion (the new hood was installed last week), and chef/owner Govind Armstrong and exec chef Willis Loughhead are still projecting an early February public opening, saying they are 6-8 weeks out from friends and family.
The Table 8 dining experience will be in three places throughout the hotel, including an outdoor seating on two levels. There are no notices on the hotel's website about the food service but complimentary breakfast is served in the lobby for now.
