Half of NKOTB Will Break Out The Right Stuff at JET on New Years

December 16, 2008 at 5:00 PM | by juliana | 1 Comment

These are tough times we are living in today. Wall Street is in the shitter. Big corporations are asking for billion-dollar bailouts. Layoffs are increasing. The 2009 Arena Football league has been suspended. The Queen is even cutting back on her expenditures.

And we are currently living in a world where New Kids On The Block has been successfully resuscitated enough to play a gig on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas at JET inside The Mirage. Actually, it's just Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood but that's like almost worse. All you need is just two members of NKOTB to host a New Year's Eve party? Damn. Times are hard.

Granted, we were fans of NKOTB back in the day. We also confess that Joey was the first boy who ever kissed us in our dreams. But this is 1990 we are talking about. Nothing from that year can be that good so as to showcase it again on New Year's Eve nearly 20 years later. Still, if you must, tickets are $150 a person. Table reservations start at $200 per person with a minimum of six people per table. Doors open at 10pm.

If you need some visuals to along with this story, see the Right Stuff video here.

    Oh no ..

... you're bringing back my NKOTB nightmares. When I was a (young) teenager my four friends were obsessed with them. I was such a fifth wheel but we used to spend the school holidays dancing round pretending to be them and because they were all obsessed and had their favorite New Kid I wound up having to be Danny all the time - he's the ugly one, right? Sorry Danny :-( NYE with NKOTB is my worst nightmare ....
