Fairmont Boston Battery Wharf Now Finally Open

A shout-out to the Fairmont Hotels' Twitter for alerting us to the opening of the Fairmont Boston Battery Wharf today.

The hotel was originally set to open over the summer as a Regent Hotel, until the company backed out at the last minute of their management contract. Fortunately, Fairmont stepped in to save the hotel which also includes residences. And as a luxe twist, the hotel features Fairmont Gold experience which is ultra-luxury rooms and services on dedicated floors (for luxury prices) as well as a special Gold-only lounge.

The signature restaurant from chef Guy Martin is not yet open but according to the hotel website, the main dining room will be serving food and non-alcoholic beverages complimentary to hotel guests during the preview period. We found rates tonight starting for $299 for a non-smoking king room which is a bit steep but then again, food's included.
