The "Moandrian" South Beach Thrills Its Guests

A TripAdvisor reviewer just nicknamed the Mondrian South Beach one of the best nicknames yet, The Moandrian. We decided to skip over to the massive review-posting site to see what folks were saying about this just-opened hotel and so far, the reviews are pretty good. From the "Moandrian" thinker:
Was just at the Mondrian for 3 nights of art basel. our host, The NYC2LA Group had set us up with a bay front view room and it was absolutely magical, the balcony was really fantastic. Anytime you are over looking any kind of water its just great. It was slightly annoying that the hotel is not on the "hip" side of town, but they did service us in escalades and range rovers wooop wooop. over all good experience - the staff will hopefully be getting smarter as their english is more like spanish...I will be back!
Another reviewer has a more sensible review of the hotel here:
I was wary of staying at this hotel during its 1st week of operation but had a great time. Room & common space design is excellent, especially the pool area. Employees are friendly and try to appease guests. The food at Asia de Cuba & the breakfast bar were great. Only negatives were slow bar service by the pool and loud sounds in the middle of the night caused by the elevator (which I attribute this to opening kinks)
We knew the Mondrian would be impressive. Afterall, they spent a lot of time on it. Now, we just need to go in it.
