It Was Not Josh Harnett in the Library With a Candlestick

Back in September, we relayed a juicy tidbit we'd gotten from the Daily Mirror about John Hartnett engaging in some on-camera, er, "shenanigans" at his hotel.

The UK rag we consult for our celeb hotel gossip had initially reported that, while in London to prep for his role in the West End stage adaptation of Rainman, Mr Hartnett and a ladyfriend had popped into the library of the Soho Hotel for a little sexytime — and it was all caught on closed circuit TV.

Well, our bad for relaying the news: according to the AP, the Harnett camp has cried foul and has won 20,000 pounds (30,000 USD) in libel damages from the newspaper because of the supposedly false report. Yikes. Glad we didn't break that story...
