Andre Balazs Spotted Lurking Around Delayed Standard

This just in from our operative in NYC, JetSetCD: Hotelier Andre Balazs was spotted with two other men pointing up at his delayed Standard Hotel which was to open today but now will open around Dec. 21st.

This picture is blurry but JetSetCD swears it's him (He's the shorter one.) She also says she heard him talking about the building. Since we forgot to loan her our set of bionic ears, this was all she was able to pick up:

Andre: "...you'd never build a building as thin as this, but the design...

Ah yes, the design. We have a few ideas of what AB might have said. Like this: "But the design reminds you of an office building in an industrial city in the 1970s?" Or "but the design reminds you of Meyer Lanski's Riviera building in Cuba?" (As it does for NewYorkology). Anyone care to fill in the blanks, do so below.
