"Escape the In-Laws" at a Hotel Indigo Near You

Hotel Indigo has released a new survey today that yields some not-so-surprising results about spending holidays with in-laws:

One-third (36%) of Americans would rather check into a hotel than stay with family and an astounding 97 percent would rather not stay with their in-laws. Findings show that while travelers are looking to spend the holidays with family, they simply don’t want to stay with them!

Wow, you know what would be good right now? A package tailored to those of us who don't want to stay with our families over the holidays? And whaddya know, Hotel Indigo has just announced their “Escape the In-Laws” package.

The package runs from now through January 14, 2009 and includes a room, breakfast for two and a "Family Decompression Kit." The kit includes all the essentials like aspirin, aromatherapy oil and a bottle of wine. Sadly, a remote control that would mute your mother when she starts talking about your unhealthy lifestyle is not included. Room rates start at $129.
