GPH Swapping the Old with Some New

The Gramercy Park Hotel has prided itself on having impressive art in its (somewhat) public spaces but even GPH gets tired of looking at the same old thing.
According to the NY Daily News, the Rose Bar has swapped out "old Andy Warhol and Julien Schnabel paintings for new pieces by Damien Hirst and Jean-Michel Basquiat."
If you love Warhol, don't be too alarmed as the guestrooms in GPH feature his photography. As for Schnabel, he did the hotel's interior design so you'll still have plenty of him. Now if only the Rose Bar would swap out their old celebrity clientele for some new.
Want to spend New Year's admiring this new art at the Rose Bar? The hotel is currently accepting table reservations for from $1,000 for four people. Call the concierge at 212-673-5604 to book.
