Food & Beverage is a glorified minibar and room service: for example, the sample Request Upon Arrival list for the Doubletree San Diego Mission Valley offers Coronas for $5.75 and Mediterranean Wraps for $13.00.
Your Miscellaneous requests might include adding a microwave to your room, or organizing a mini birthday party with two pieces of cake--these things will cost you, of course. It's a fine line here: a hotel chain that makes it sound like it's doing something nice for its guests, but on the other hand, it sounds like a get rich quick scheme. But we're just kidding ourselves if we thought we'd get something for nothing.
