Yesterday we told you about hotels where Twilight the book was set and how they're smartly stealing the money from crazed fans.

Today we bring to you news about the where the Twilight movie was filmed. We know all you crazed fans already saw the movie at midnight last night, which is why tonight you should go to Edward & Bella's Prom at The View Point Inn. That's right, instead of seeing the movie again (you can do that tomorrow), you can live the movie by attending the prom where the prom scene was filmed. We can't believe it either.

Oh, and if you're filling particularly generous and gullible, The View Point would like you to buy a brick:

Become a part of Twilight history and help us save The View Point Inn where Bella Swan and Edward Cullen remain "Forever." Be part of Twilight forever in The View Point Inn's Twilight Walk of Fame brick pathway. Twilight fans can single-handedly preserve Bella & Edwards special place and help save The View Point Inn!

The inn is desperately in need of a new roof and chimney. Just 1000 fans buying one brick will help place a new roof and chimney on The View Point Inn. There's a lot more preservation work that needs to be done around the inn to ensure it will be around for generations of Twilight fans to come. Please help Geoff Thompson fulfill his dream and help Bella & Edward's special place remain, like their love.... "Forever".

"Generations of fans" seems a bit optimistic. We're just saying.

To attend the prom ($47 gets you in and a goody bag) or buy a brick visit The View Point's site.

    Watch out for this place

Several weeks ago I booked my wedding night at the View Point Inn through their website's online reservations system.  I checked the availability for the night and found that the rooms where available.  I booked their best room for our wedding night.

I received an email from their system that confirmed our reservation.  The subject line was "Reservation Request Dated XX/XX/200X".  The email listed my name, the room requested, number of guest, the dates we where to be staying.  Looks like a confirmation if I have ever seen one. Great, I now have a room for our wedding night. Nothing to worry about. Plans all in place.

Well, not exactly.  Luckily , a few weeks later, my fiancee called the Inn to arrange for a bottle of wine to be in our room for our arrival.  She was told that the Inn was now booked for a wedding that weekend and their was no availability.  We were a more than a bit confused since several weeks earlier, we had booked the room and received a confirmation.  The Inn keeper was very unapologetic and very uncaring toward my fiancee over the incident.  The Inn keep quickly hung up on her.

Had my fiancee not called we would have showed up at the Inn on our wedding night expecting a room to only be turned away.

This appears to me that the inn received a request for a more lucrative wedding and  booked out the entire inn regardless of prior reservations. So be aware that a reservation may not be honored by the inn.

I did notice their website has this statement on it:

    "Saving the View Point Inn
We need your help preserving this Historic Building
Keeping our Doors open to the Public
    Keeping the Dream Alive
Please donate as much as you can
    Please help"

This might explain why our experience was what it was.   My advice is to avoid this establishment.
