Promising Nightclub May Help the W Hoboken Lure Us to Jersey

We admit that some of us at HotelChatter hate on Jersey every now and again — and we're only half serious when we say that the soon-to-open (er, hopefully) W Hoboken had better bring its A-Game with a good nightlife scene if they expect to lure us off the sparkling isle of Manhattan.

But since we've got just a little bit of Jersey love, we'll let go of the hatin' for a moment and say that we were super psyched to hear from Page Six that the owners of Tenjune are rumored to be opening up the Chandelier Room in W's dirty Jerz outpost.

Tenjune, the small, super-exclusive nightclub in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, is known for its hot clientele and celeb regulars. We can say with confidence that if anyone can make a nightclub in Hoboken the place to see and be seen, we think it's these guys — but they certainly have their work cut out for them.

Meanwhile, the W Hoboken has risen and is slated to open at the end of February. As always, we'll keep you posted.

    Dirty Jerz

I firmly believe that one has to be born and raised in Jersey to use the Dirty Jerz phrase. Only if you are quoting Chunky Pam, are you excused.

    I agree

And I am highly offended that a non-dirty jerzer would use that term.

    and

Jersey is so hot right now. PLUS, judging from that rendering, it looks like the W will be the same distance from Manhattan as the Target Greatland, so you can ummm go to Target too?

    well...

i believe that all people that foresake their homeland and move out to the land of alfalfa sprouts and annual facelifts relinquish all dirty jerz privileges as well

    Don't lie

I have put up with 8 years of people judging my home and native land based on the commander-in-chief we sent. I am allowed to make fun of any state I want. Even Ohio, if I want. My state kicks your tiny state in its tiny nuts.

    whoa

Ok so it's now taken me officially two weeks to reply. Don't diss the O-H-I-O, man. They've got Cleveland, and you know what that means? A lot of sharp rusty things for them to chase you with.

    Reality

Dear Jenna, please do not bother venturing to NJ to check out this new place.  Simply put, we don't want you here.  We would much rather have this new club/lounge to ourselves, along with our beaches.  So you can stay on your "sparkling isle" (You obviously have no concept of reality to refer to Manhattan as sparkling.  I'd put the worst of Hoboken's backstreets up against the best Manhattan has to offer in terms of cleanliness and safety any day) in your upper east side apartment and enjoy dealing with all the filth, poverty, and homelessness NYC has to offer.  I on the other hand will check this place out and enjoy it with the rest of NJ.  If I ever see you out I will be sure to spill a drink on your Johnny Choo's.
