Brandy — of "Sittin' Up in My Room," "I Wanna Be Down," "The Boy is Mine," and, er, Moesha fame — is back! Besides lending her voice to a killer track on the newest John Legend album, she's also apparently releasing her own album in December. She's doing performances here and there to promote her record and generate some hype for herself since some bad publicity made her fall off the radar for a while.

And, natch, where does a singer go in order to generate hype? Why, she goes to the hotel hype machine to end all hype machines: Aloft.

Specifically, Aloft Philadelphia.

According to the blog I Love Brandy (we know, we know):

Friday night's fog in Philly kept singer/actress Brandy’s plane on the tarmac at LAX for three hours, delaying her planned 7 p.m. private show for Wired 96.5 listeners till nearly 11 p.m. After apologizing for being late, she sang two songs and did a Q&A for about 10 minutes.

Uh, damn, Brandy fans. Waiting 4 extra hours to see Brandy almost sing two songs — and we say "almost," because it seemed like she was lipsynching in the vid we saw of the performance, and everyone knows almost doesn't count (ha!) — and answer a couple questions before she peaced out? That's dedication.
