The other week we asked you all if you were staying in hotels any more as the layoffs increase and the budgets decrease.

Today, someone wrote in that the luxe hotels in places like Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and other luxurious destinations are not decreasing their prices. This is true but these types of hotels are starting to put out some offers. Like this Winter Breaks one from the One & Only Palmilla in San Jose del Cabo.

Room rates are going at $650 for an oceanfront room during this period so the deal brings the rate down to $455. Not bad. Of course, it's not great either. We'd like that room rate to come down at least a $100 more, but we'll keep an eye on it.
