Mondrian South Beach to Get TiVoed

November 12, 2008 at 1:12 PM | by juliana | 2 Comments

Taking hotel technology to the next level, the Mondrian South Beach has just announced a partnership with TiVo to put TiVo recorders in all the guest rooms at the hotel. From the press release for those of you who somehow don't know what TiVo does:

Mondrian guests will be able to use the Emmy® award-winning TiVo user interface to record, pause, and rewind live TV, as well as set-up recordings of their favorite shows, and even use WishList® searches to find programs with their favorite actors or directors. The benefit of the TiVo experience doesn’t end there, as guests will have the option of recording two shows at the same time, while watching a third previously recorded show.

The hotel will now finally open on December 1st with rooms going for an awesome rate of $195 a night. Additionally, since TiVo entered into a partnership with Morgans Hotel Group and not just the Mondrian, we might see TiVos in all of the hotel groups properties in the near future. Sweet.

    The Clarendon...

The Clarendon has had 42" LG LCD HDTVs with built in HD DVRs in all executive rooms for nearly two years.  We will be expanding HD DVR coverage to 100% of the guest rooms by Spring 2009.  We will also program the DVRs to automatically record the top rated shows on television so that guests won't have to.

The Clarendon is a leader in another arena by offering free international telephone calls to all guests, and have been doing so for nearly three years.  We don't know of another hotel on the planet that offers this.
