Choice Hotels Gives Elite Gold Status to Armed Services Members

November 11, 2008 at 2:46 PM | by Jenna | 0 Comments

Good news for members of the U.S. Armed Forces: effective immediately, active duty or reserve military members, retired military, National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, and eligible spouses and dependents can join Choice Hotels' Choice Privileges rewards program automatically at the Elite Gold level (which is normally obtained by staying 10 nights in a year). Just a little somethin-somethin' to say thank you for serving our lovely country.

Official word from the press release:

As part of the new Armed Services Choice Privileges program, members receive a 10 percent point bonus on qualifying stays at over 5,000 locations across all ten Choice Hotels brands, exclusive Elite customer service and reservations phone numbers, and exclusive Elite member offers.

As an Elite Gold member, you'll get a 10% point bonus on all your stays at Choice Hotels -- and then you can redeem those for free nights at Choice properties — which include Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality Inn, Cambria Suites and EconoLodge — with no blackout dates, plus airline rewards and giftcards and such.

Per our Guide to Loyalty Programs, Choice Privileges lets you redeem points for stays at partners Preferred Hotels and Resorts and Summit Hotels and Resorts (and now Ascend!) if you want to kick it in a more upscale hotel.
