How far would you go to win a free night? Would you dress up as a French maid and go to a party full of people dressed up as French maids swilling absinthe?

And if people are dressed up as French maids--opposed to actual French maids, which we aren't sure truly exist--then we know they're slutty French maids. Um. Awkward. A little bit like a high school movie. Or another kind of movie.

So this is the premise for Maison 140's "Spirits of Halloween" party and you're invited! If you can't resist a good contest, show up in your maid costume and be in the running for six prizes including an overnight stay for two, and wine and cheese tastings.

If you've hung up your fishnets long ago, and/or are a little pervy, you can still come and enjoy the booze:

"The Spirits of Halloween" will be the perfect way to kick-off Halloween night revelry or cozy up to the hotel's recently-introduced absinthe bar. Guests can enjoy Le Tourment Vert-based absinthe tastings for only $5 each or can opt for "The Green Goblin," a specialty cocktail made of sweet & sour, rocky candy syrup and absinthe (an "eerie" emerald elixir that's dropped onto a heap of dry ice before being served amid a plume of cold smoke), available for $10.

Be careful, though, we've heard how strong their cocktails can be (especially when absinthe is involved). You don't want to end up going home with the wrong French maid.

Deets: 7-11 pm, drawings at 9 and 11 pm, must be present and costumed to win, free parking!
