This just in: The Donald has said something obnoxious.

Today's Chicago Tribune had an illuminating gem of a piece about the Trump International Chicago Hotel and Tower and its potential (and desperate need) to become Chicago's celebrity hotel hotspot of choice -- the key, says the sales manager, is to "overwhelm them with hospitality and kindness." So, like, out-pamper every other hotel in the city. Got it.

And the big dude himself chimed in with this tiddy-bitty...

"Any major celebrity who goes to Chicago is going to stay at Trump," says the man who describes himself, twice, as "the biggest celebrity in the world" in a telephone interview. "We don't compete for celebrity business. We get them automatically."

Oh, okay then. Meanwhile, the head honchos at the local Ritz and Four Seasons are all "let's play nice, now" and wisely said they "feel there's room for everyone" in the Chicago market.

Now we're tempted to send an HC operative to camp out at the Trump Chicago to count the celebs (or snicker at the lack thereof). Uh, camp out in the lobby, we mean. Or we can just wait for the Tribune to update this nifty little who's-stayed-where chart.
