Mondrian South Beach Probably Not Until Christmas

The Mondrian South Beach was supposed to open for realz this time on November 18th but as one dedicated HotelChatter reader let us know, that isn't going to happen.

Last week we tried to get in touch with the hotel's PR rep but we heard no answer. So we tried to figure out when this hotel might open. We visited the website and plugged in a few dates for later November and early December and nothing was "available." Then over the weekend, a tipster whispered that the hotel wouldn't open until Christmas or just after that. Yikes.

A word to the snowbirds: If you are planning a trip to Miami Beach this season, you may want to hold off on booking the Mondrian until the hotel is actually open.
