Featured in the rash of new construction is The Langham's first airport property, the Langham Place at Terminal 3 of Beijing's Capital Airport, an "up-to-the-minute, high-tech hotel that brings you a unique five-star experience." We bet they're kicking themselves for not getting it together in time for the Beijing Olympics, but instead they'll be cashing in on the tourism following in the wake of the Games.
Moving over to Shanghai, The Langham will develop a smaller, 101-room property named The Langham Yangtze Boutique. Just off of People's Square and inside a restored art deco gem with a roofdeck, it is sure to become a city hotspot.
As if that isn't enough, 2010 will bring yet another Langham Place to China in the technological city of Guangzhou, "...opening [their] doors to adventurous, tech-savvy and fun-seeking travellers."
Sounds like we can expect much innovation coming from the Langham brand in the next two years, especially since their foray into China will be directly followed by even more properties in Thailand, India and New Zealand.
