Room With a Killer View :: The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs

We are suckers for a room with a killer view.  We find that we are even more likely to forgive some minor hotel inconveniences if we can stare out the window at something pretty--yeah we are that shallow. The five-star Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO boasts 700 rooms and killer views from almost all of them -- and, frankly, for the price (suites can go for $715 per night), the view had better be awesome.

The hotel is known for its extensive spa and impressive golf course, but the real draw here might be the forthcoming Broadmoor Cottages. In May 2009, the hotel will unveil six cottages (up to 6,300 square feet) with killer views of Cheyenne Mountain and the 18th hole. Five cottages will have eight bedrooms and one will have four bedrooms -- and we can just imagine the kickass snowy weekends we could have with all our best friends.

That said, while this photo was snapped on October 5th, it might be wise to double check on the construction situation with the cottages -- since they're not finished yet, we assume there is the potential for some nasty anti-viewness here while they're going up.
