Philly Hotels Going All Out for Their Sports Teams

October 21, 2008 at 12:45 PM | by juliana | 3 Comments

Whether you are rooting for the Phillies, the Eagles, or your own fantasy team, you will have a place to cheer on your players at these Philadelphia hotels.

According to the city's blog, Uwishunu, the Bellevue Hotel is hosting a pep rally for the Phillies as they head into the World Series. It takes place tomorrow (October 22) in the hotel's main lobby.

The Whiz Kids Band will perform, Phillies ballgirls will be handing out rally towels, and there will be free pretzels. Enter a raffle to win Phillies gear all day with the winners announced at 5 p.m.

The party then moves to the XIX bar where cocktails and craft brews are half-price during happy hour from 5-7pm.

Over at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, the hotel is hosting an NFL tailgate brunch every Sunday for $26.50 a person. That includes an all-you-can-eat cornucopia of breakfast treats and large flat-screen TVs tuned to the game as well as in-booth flat screen TVs.

So you can watch your hometown team on the flat-screen and follow your top fantasy players in-booth. That sounds kinda awesome to us. Except we don't root for any Philly teams.

    what!

Juliana! You don't root for Philly teams?

Well, if I can't appeal to your sports-loving nature... how about just on aesthetics alone: have you SEEN Chase Utley? Swoon.

    sold out hotels

Hotels in Wilmington, Delaware are still available at great prices too! Half hour drive via I-95. Hotel du Pont has a great package from $149 a night per room plus tax.
