The world -- at least the celeb-obsessed portion of it including our neighbors at Jaunted -- was abuzz this week in search of the location where Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson said "I do."

Mystery solved. The pair escaped to Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on Vancouver Island. It must've been a small ceremony since they resort Web site's wedding page says it can host no more than 50 guests.

According to a People.com article, Reynolds went salmon fishing while the other guests rode around on horseback and mountain bikes. We can only imagine they took advantage of some of the other amenities, including massage tents, wood-fired cedar hot tubs, outdoor showers, and seawater baths.

Most of the resort is housed within canvas tents. Inside these modest casings is a world of indulgence, and the resort likes to play up this juxtaposition. A camp site costs, what, $20 per night? Three-night packages here start at $4,750. Per person.

So that's why Reynolds agreed to star in Definitely, Maybe.

Actually

This resort is kind of awesome now that I'm looking at it... it's like, "nature lite."

Interesting choice

I grew up right across the water from there, and given that a surprising amount of films are done there, you do get a bit used to seeing big name stars in some pretty podunk restaurants and hotels, but Clayoquot seems a really interesting choice.  I would have assumed that, if someone was to pick that region of the world, they would go for something on the Olympic Peninsula, but good on them.  Clayoquot definitely sets itself apart in people's minds, and it's pretty remote, so privacy is almost guaranteed.
