All this week we will be running Escape the Economy hotel packages. We doubt this will make you feel better about your dwindling stash of money but you might actually have a good time.

Listen up bargain shoppers. The Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel has just announced a "Shopaholic Soothe and Saving Spree."
You may be wondering why a hotel would promote shopping in a time when everyone is concerned about saving? Well, doesn't outlet shopping count as saving? That's what we think anyways.
The hotel is offering guests who book this package a Boston Entertainment Book, which includes discounts for local restaurants, movie theaters, sporting events and more. They will also receive a Faneuil Hall Marketplace "Passport of Savings" booklet and a Wrentham Village Outlets Savings Guide.
Hmm...we're starting to think this might be a very good package for Boston locals to book too considering all these local discounts.
Yet in fact, the best part of this package really isn't the discounts. No, it's the massage for two and the breakfast for two that are also included. A massage can definitely help you escape the economy at least for 50 minutes or so.
This package starts at $499 and is based on double occupancy. Reservations must be booked 72 hours in advance.
Have you stayed at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront? If so, let us know how it was.
