Aside from the convenience of the metro and the tourist sights, the hotel is next to two brasseries--both of which sell delicious food and are staffed by shockingly nice people. It's the perfect place to while away the morning drinking cafe and eating croissants. You must also try the crepes at Cafe La Source. Then maybe smoke a Lucky Strike or two. Not that we endorse that but it's a cool prop at least. Heh.
The hotel is also about a five-minute walk from Rue Cler which is the best outdoor market in Paris. We don't care what you think! This is the best! Rue Cler sells fresh fruits and vegetables as well as features several specialty storefronts like fromageries, butcheries, home goods, flower shops, an optometrist and even random Memphisto shoes.

So what is the hotel like? The good news is that the former private mansion was recently renovated in 2006. There is also a lobby bar, a fitness centerk and a hamman inside. There's also a small garden/court outside.
Each of the 16 rooms are "individually decorated" in a sort of old-world Parisian style, think all the Louis' (Louises?) and the Napoleans. No cool ceiling lighting tricks here. However, despite the old-worldness the hotel rooms do have complimentary WiFi. Love it. And if you want a roomier stay, book one of the deluxe rooms.
For complete room descriptions, the hotel has posted them on their website.
Guests over at TripAdvisor have called out the polite and helpful staff. One guest was able to get a room for 198 Euros on Orbitz which sounds so good we want to go now. Rates on the hotel's own site start at 230 Euros but depending on the season, you can get a room for as low as 130 Euros. Yes, we really want to go now. Sil Vous Plait?
