Escape the Economy Hotels :: The Chelsea AC's Rescue and Liquidity Packages

All this week we will be running Escape the Economy hotel packages. We doubt this will make you feel better about your dwindling stash of money but you might actually have a good time.

We've been inside the new Chelsea Atlantic City and we loved it. Now we kind of love them more for offering up these "Rescue" and "Liquidity" packages.

For those of you on the East Coast who crave the Vegas scene but can't afford the airfare, hitting up the Chelsea AC is the next best thing. And because the hotel doesn't have any gaming, you'll be less likely to blow through money. Or so we would hope.

The Rescue Package gives guest an overnight stay in a Chelsea Luxe room, breakfast for two at Teplitzky's, two rolls of quarters to try your luck at some of AC's other casinos or you can just take the free parking option instead. The package also includes a $50 gas card, no minimum length of stay and no cancellation penalties. Calling Joe Sharkey.

The one catch is that the package is priced less during the week (Sun.-Thurs.) at $199 while Friday night stays are at $249 and Saturday night at $299.

Meanwhile, the Liquidity Package gives guests an overnight stay in a Full Ocean View Room with ultimate view. You must book a minimum of 2 nights. You will also get private limo transportation to and from NYC with complimentary champagne. Baller!

An afternoon in-room "Liquid Refresh" will arrive consisting of sparkling water and Teplitzky's Diving Horse Ale, the hotel restaurants' proprietary ale. For late night, guests will have a two-day pass to the Florida Room" with indoor/outdoor aquatic facilities. However, keep in mind this isn't open until December so if swimming is an important part of your stay, it's best to wait.

Once again, the package prices are staggered depending on your stay. Weekday arrivals are $399 per room per night. The jump up to $549 per room per night on Friday and Saturday.

Both packages are available until March 31, 2009. To book, call 1-800-548-3030. There may be some blackout dates and if you want the Liquidity Package, the hotel needs 48 hours advance notice. You know, to coordinate your limo ride.
