Alright, we know South Beach can get kinda skanky. It's known by many as a Spring Break destination and -- admit it -- parts of it are just kind of gross.

But for the most part, we'd figured the Delano Hotel was immune to falling down into the vortex of SoBe skankocity. It's super swanky -- and since it's charging in the $500+ range for basic rooms, one might assume a certain element of "class" to be present.

And by "class", our standards are not very high, people. All we mean is that we expect it would, you know, not be the location of a casting call for a porno movie.

But no.

Always the go-to source for juicy, skanky news, we turned to our New York Post. Alas, today's Page Six confirms our suspicion that not even the Delano is safe from skankdom:

A source tells us a porn production company rented out one of the beachfront inn's bungalows Thursday to hold auditions for its latest hardcore videos.

And it seems it was a real porno movie this time -- not the Sarah Silverman "I'm effing Matt Damon" kind. Apparently the staffers were pretty unhappy because the potential, er, "stars" were showing up to the hotel throughout the day on Thursday.

First of all: damn, that's gotta be a high-budget film. Second, those are some awfully white casting couches in the rooms. We wonder how the stereotypical adult film star self-tanner would fare on those babies. Finally, we have to say this: why can't you just kick it in the Holiday Inn?

HALF SOPHISTICATED PEOPLE ...WHAT A WASTE...!

Repulsive...that's all I got to say, Delano is really getting to new "levels of service..." no longer exist the days of exclusivity and hip wealth at this "has been South Beach hotel.." no longer an Ian Schraeger property.., no longer the ultra chic hotel of the jet set..!!!!
for many years now Delano's lobby has been nothing but a never ending parade of mid-west tourist ( you always  over hear their outdated tacky comments such as: "...oh you know that this is Madonna's hotel.." & euro-trash snapping pics of the quirky lobby furnishings or the "wanna be.." girls from Iowa strutting their stuff in micro/cheap revealing "putana" skirts...
very tragic, very sad!
