Halloween Hotels :: Very Important Kids at Swissôtel Chicago

Many of you must remember the various scares over the years when it came to Halloween. It's hard to imagine that at one time kids would just traipse blithely from stranger's house to stranger's house, accepting and eating candy without protective individual wrappers -- even homemade treats!
Kids today have it a bit safer, and posher. Lucky little monsters in Chicago can spend Halloween this year at the Swissôtel Chicago. VIKs (Very Important Kids) will be entertained by a costumed T-Rex character from the Field Museum, make creepy-crawlies and long-legged beasties at the arts and crafts table and create their very own Egyptian funerary masks.
Kids can also carve jack-o-lanterns with peeps from Shedd Aquarium, or check out some real-life creepie crawlies on site. And they can create an alien with new friends from Adler Planetarium.
Oh, and of course there's trick or treating. Fun and games are well and good, but kids know there's got to be some booty on Halloween or why bother?
For parents too tired from all the fun (or on a sugar crash after swiping their kids' candy) to make their way home afterwards, Swissôtel is offering a VIK Halloween Package that includes accommodations starting at $99. Not bad!
