HotelChatter || Aloft Hotels Unveils New Pink Website

Thanks to Andrew Calvo, Starwood stalker extraordinaire, we learned that Aloft Hotels has unveiled their website today. And guess what? It's pink! (There seems to be a trend here....)

In our opinion, there's not much to look at except a map of expected Aloft locations (and the left-behind HTML text under Beijing, China announcement.) But you will still have to wait until July 2008 before you can actually go inside an Aloft. That's when the Lexington, MA property will open. Or if you're in China, that's when the Beijing property will open.

However, Andrew makes a valid point after he was done probing the site :

One thing that stuck out is the check-in/check-out times for all the aloft hotels are 3PM check-in with a 10AM check-out. Nothing is written in stone yet - but having a 10AM checkout is pretty early for this type of hotel.
As it is, I was upset that I had to check out at 11AM from The Borgata two weeks ago - thinking that was too early, but setting a brand-wide checkout at 10AM I think is pushing it. We'll have to see if it changes when the hotels finally open.

We agree. 11am is far too early, especially when you are working. There have been countless times when we have been diligently working away only to have our productive streak interrupted by the 11am check-out time, leaving us scrambling to pack our stuff together and find a Starbucks. Grr...

Some good news? Aloft Lexington is promoting complimentary WiFi. So maybe we can just hightail it to the lobby instead. And maybe we can withstand the pink afterall.
