Keeping Very Close Tabs on the Standard NYC's Construction

Thanks to Curbed, we were able to discover that Andre Balazs' upcoming Standard NYC Hotel is showing off construction pictures on its website that are updated every 15 minutes! But don't worry, not much changes in 15 minutes.

So, barring any certificate of occupancy issues or staffing problems, the rest of the world will be able to keep tabs on this hotel's expected opening date which is late 2008. Maybe Thompson Hotels would wanna do this too?

Meanwhile, in other Balazs news, the Dexigner blog is reporting that AB has lent his Maison Tropicale house to the Design Museum at Tate Modern in London where it is part of a Jean Prouve exhibit. Still no word on whether AB will turn the house into a hotel suite but if he did, London would be a convenient location, mmm?
