The CatHouse is divided into two sections--the restaurant and the Red Room, a lounge/dance area where all the Las Vegas naughtiness happens. Mixing a lounge and a restaurant is hardly a new concept but when the inspiration is meant to be a 19th century Parisian bordello, things get interesting. We didn't try the food but we did like how the Red Room was not a huge warehouse of a dance floor (cough, Tao, cough) but rather an intimate lounge like Tryst at the Wynn although less classy.
However, CatHouse may have some competition from neighboring nightclub LAX, also inside the Luxor. We ate at the restaurant Company (which was so-so) before we headed to CatHouse and just as we were about to leave Paris and Nicky Hilton and their entourage sat at the front table. This really wasn't a huge surprise since Nicky's a partner in Company and the sisters were hosting a New Years Eve bash at LAX.
The Hiltons later hit up the immensely crowded LAX, which had tons of people crowding the casino floor trying to get in, where they partied with Kevin Federline.
Hmmm...maybe CatHouse should leave those dubious celebrity personalities to LAX after all.
