HotelChatter Shacks Up at The Signature at the MGM Grand
We're a bit heavy on the Las Vegas stories today but that's just because we came back from a weekend in Sin City (no, we weren't there for the porn convention).
This time we shacked up with several girls inside a suite at the Signature at the MGM Grand. Our room on the 15th floor had a king bed with a pull-out couch and a mini-kitchen complete with a small refrigerator, a stovetop, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker. Not that we actually used any of that. But we did make good use of the flat-screen TV and the DVD player, along with the large bathtub with jacuzzi jets. Ahhh....
The Signature is not a bad place to be. It has its own fitness center and its own Starbucks shop which was clean and never crowded. Unlike the one you find on the floor inside MGM. The Signature towers (there are three of them) also share their own pool area, thus allowing you to avoid MGM's mega-crowded pool scene. The only glitch is that its a bit of walk to the casino area. About five to 10 minutes. Fortunately, it's a covered walkway and they even got those types of people-movers you usually find in airport terminals.
Overall, we found the place to be a quiet, more sophisticated way to enjoy the offerings of the MGM Grand. We nabbed our suite for about $250 a night but rates during the week go for as low at $149 a night.
