These suites span 586 square feet and include a king bed, Murphy bed, kitchenette and large bath. A seemingly perfect property for indecisive Goldilocks, Hotel Marina El Cid also offers one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, which all have wireless Internet access, satellite TV and mini bars.
At the hotel's oceanfront El Cocay Spa, massages are based on Mayan legends, like the Kukulkan body massage, which uses two masseuses to mimic "the walk of the jaguar, the movement of the snake and the flight of el cocay, the firefly," in a tribute to the Great Quetzalccoatl, the Mayan leader who transformed himself into the feathered deity Kukulkan. The spa also features a Zen meditation garden, hair and nail salon and fitness center that looks out on the ocean.
Hotel Marina El Cid's newest and fourth restaurant, Scramanga Moon & Beach Lounge, features--what else? Mexican cuisine. The outdoor space serves up brunch and buffets that can be enjoyed in hammocks and Bali beds while also taking in some live music.
Starting price of the new junior suites will currently set you back about $270.
