Tides South Beach Renovations Are Delayed Once Again
The other week we got word from a tipster down in Miami that once again the Tides South Beach was having problems finishing up their top to bottom hotel renovations.
The outside is still boarded up and the trash chutes and outside lifts are all still mounted with windows boarded up.
So once again, we checked in with a Kor Hotels rep who provided us with the following timeline for the hotel renovations, shown above. Thus if you can wait until November 15th, then you should be able to book a room there. But don't count on it as these renovations have been taking quite some time to finish. We say wait until sometime in January when both the rooms and the pool will be finished.
Meanwhile the hotel's La Marea restaurant is open and its terrace section will open this Friday. Also open is the hotel lobby bar called The Martini Bar which offers a full bar and signature Popsicle martinis and tapas. Sure would be nice to have some hotel rooms with those martinis, eh?
