Fire Torches The Water Club at AC's Borgata

Expect delays here. Atlantic City's still-under-construction Water Club at Borgata caught fire yesterday before firefighters managed to get the blaze under control.

No major structural damage was reported, and no one was injured. The Water Club is separate from the main Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa, where we stayed this summer, so you shouldn't worry about finding a new hotel for the bachelor party for your buddies from Philly.

Still, the fire certainly won't help get The Water Club open by early 2008, as was planned. Investigators are still searching for the cause of the fire, which was big enough to send pieces of the building flying onto nearby roads.
