Steve Wynn to Appear on 'Nightline' To Show Off Monster Bling and Restored Painting

Yesterday morning as we sat down with the newspaper at Bouchon inside the Venetian (btw, best breakfast ever), we noticed possible pirate enthusiast Norm Clarke's latest column which delivered this bit of news:

After years of pursuing five-diamond perfection in the desert, Steve Wynn has acquired the perfect symbolic gem.

The same man who purchased the 61-pound Hand of Faith gold nugget to promote his first hotel-casino 30 years ago will unveil on Wednesday a 230-carat diamond that dwarfs the 45.52-carat Hope Diamond.

Wynn and his wife, Elaine, will be the focus for the entire half hour of ABC's "Nightline" program.

Wynn will also be showing off the restored La Reve picasso painting which Wynn infamously poked a hole in last year. As for the diamond, we wonder if he will call it Victory after his new hotel casino going up next to Wynn Las Vegas?

Meanwhile in other Wynn news, we learned that he gets his hair dyed at the John Frida Salon on Melrose Place in West Hollywood and his appointments are always made on a Tuesday. Very interesting huh? Now he and Donald Trump have something else in common.
