No Surprise Here: Six Columbus Set for 'Later This Fall'

With the end of summer drawing closer (Sept. 23), Six Columbus doesn't look like it's going to make its Summer 2007 opening date.
We checked with the NYC & Company, the city's tourism agency, who got back to us yesterday with this answer:
Scheduled to open later this fall near Time Warner Center (same operator as 60 Thompson); stylish boutique hotel near Central Park and Upper West Side (Columbus Circle).
As we mentioned yesterday in our story about Hotel Le Bleu, Six Columbus is mired in some construction violations as well as it needs to actually complete its construction, specifically the rooftop. Additionally, it needs at least 10 more "requirements" before it can get a final certificate of occupancy. Meanwhile, nothing has changed on the website. It still says "Reservations Open Spring 2007."
