What's Good Enough For the President in Sydney?

With all kinds of big-wigs flying into Sydney this week for the APEC summit, we were interested to read about a test-run at President Bush's hotel of choice, the Sydney InterContinental. The 7-room Australia Suite overlooking the Sydney Botanical Gardens, with views to Sydney Harbour and the Opera House, sounded like a good place for the president to relax after a long day of meeting and greeting.
The Australian reviewer was particularly taken by the lack of care in the suite regarding the use of water, a commodity which is in especially short supply Down Under:
The president's shower could easily have a sign on the door stating water restriction free zone. More like a car wash than a shower, with a plate-sized drenching shower head in the roof and four spouts on the wall, it felt like opulence at its best.
Nice. A full kitchen is also included in the suite, with meals served on a silver tray at the 8-seater dining table. Sounds like the kind of room you might bunker down in while playing hooky from some important negotiations. Well, maybe that's just what we'd do in his situation. Wife Laura is apparently skipping Sydney so she won't have the pleasure of the Australia Suite, this time round.
