As promised here is the video tour of room 1011 of The Bowery Hotel. You can read our full review of the place here and check out all our photos in the HotelChatter Flickr Pool.

While we touched on a lot of the basics yesterday, we would like to add a few things. Find out what they are after the jump.

A FEW MORE LIKES:

· The Service:
All across the board, the staff was very courteous and helpful. We had an issue opening our room up with the old-fashioned key and a manager was up to help right away (FYI: they did not know HotelChatter was in the building.) It turns out we're total idiots when it comes to locks and keys and we were turning it in the wrong direction. Oops.

The Little Details:
At first we thought the personalized furnishing in the Bowery were a little tacky. We still kinda think having The Bowery scripted on the bedsheets and ugly orange blanket is silly but we liked the wall fixtures that said Bowery Hotel. And we liked the terrycloth robes which were also monogrammed with The Bowery. Another good thing about those robes is they actually fit you. We hate putting on a gigantic white robe with too-long sleeves and too much room in the waist. Although, that does make us feel very skinny.

SOME DISLIKES:

There's not much that we didn't like about the Bowery, except for maybe the mustiness of the lobby and bar but since it's probably meant to be musty, we give them props for being clever. (However, how do you get a room to smell musty? It is a home decor scent sold at Pottery Barn?)

But we could think of two distinct things that may affect your stay:

Construction Across the Way:
Construction on two buildings on Bowery, one being the scary Cooper Square Hotel, started at 8am in the morning. It wasn't a loud drone or lots of banging but there was a dull hum of drilling. So even though the Bowery's room windows open, we suggest keeping them closed.

Early Cleaning Crew
Housekeeping knocked on our door close to 9am. For some reason, we were awake and perky-eyed at 6:30am so we didn't mind the call but any other time and we would have been seriously grumpy.

I know you mentioned it in part 1 a bit, but how does the neighborhood feel at night?
