Anti-View: Office Block from the Meriton Pitt Street, Sydney

Whenever you stay in a central downtown district, you're gambling with either having fantastic cityscape views or a horrible outlook to the walls of the next skyscraper. Unfortunately that's exactly what can happen at the Meriton Pitt Street Apartments in Sydney:

Our apartment on the 21st floor had a terrible view of the office block next door only a few metres away. I would guess you would need to be on at least floor level 23 to have a decent view.

On the other hand, the website blurb says "Building facilities are first-class and city views are offered all combining to make your stay perfect for business or pleasure"; obviously written by a PR person standing on the 24th floor. Check if you're really going to get a good view before you check in, or you'll be staring into the offices of hard-working Sydneyites, and that's not a good vacation look.
